Chana Eliyah
Chana Eliyah is a Mexican-Israeli stage theorist, performer, and educator whose work bridges cultural and academic disciplines. Holding a B.A from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Mexico) and an M.A in stage directing from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (Mexico), she is currently pursuing advanced studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in preparation for doctoral research. As a faculty member at UABC, she has taught philosophy and acting, while also being invited to share her expertise through seminars and workshops at Universidad Autonoma de Mexico and other universities in Latin America. Scholarly contributions include the publication of "Herramientas para el director de escena" (Tools for the stage director)- a comprehensive work based on her Master's thesis that examines the pedagogy of stage direction. Eliyah founded the World of Action Theater Research, a platform for developing theater theory from primary Jewish sources, creating an innovative intersection of performance studies and Jewish thought.
